Engaging the services of Karen Bodoano of Move Coordinators to organize and consolidate, and to auction an Estate's contents, was a fantastic decision. Karen made what seemed like a daunting and insurmountable task possible. Besides being very efficient, Karen is also very kind, thoughtful and personable.

I am more than pleased with the services provided by Move Coordinators. They not only accommodated a very tight timeline to clear out my deceased mother's condo in preparation for an incoming tenant, but worked closely with me in preparing its contents for moving, set up and oversaw an online auction, arranged for movers, junk removal and cleaning services. Karen even arranged for the car battery to be jumpstarted! Knowing they network only with people and businesses of a consistently high standard was very reassuring. Issues were few, very minor, and promptly addressed. Karen and Leanne were a joy to deal with -- warmly professional, clear communicators, very efficient, patient and compassionate -- an absolute God-send for me during an unusually hectic period in all areas of my life! I highly recommend them to anyone down-sizing their home or dealing with someone's estate.

Karen did a fantastic job of confirming items to ship, then packing them and arranging the movers to remove all items. When I arrived at the apartment all the house hold items were setup and ready to go . Bed was made and all the furniture was setup where we planned to be. This is all completed in one day so my 100 year old aunt could sleep in her own bed that night! I would highly recommend using Karen’s company to anyone who is moving from home to senior live facility.

Understandably, my initial expectation was the simple and normal movement of furniture from A to B! But Karen’s painstaking and meticulous packing of my belongings into boxes and labelling of those boxes into “want now” and “maybe later” categories and then ensuring those transferred contents were placed exactly where they were in the old house into the drawers and cupboards of the new house proved phenomenal and overwhelmingly efficient! The follow up auctioning of the furniture and stereo system, the disposal of all the garbage, and the cleaning and refreshing of the house to prepare it for sale, was very successful, a professional service that came at a time when I was under much pressure and stress!

Karen helped my elderly Mom move by booking the movers, packing, unpacking after the move, booking and coordinating the movers and removed the boxes from the new apartment. Karen looked after all of the details. Karen is like a Wedding planner, but for moving. Karen also has associates who will buy any extra furniture, and will come and pick it up. Karen possesses a calm (in the storm) personality, knows what she has to do to make your move as smooth as possible. I would recommend Karen to everyone I know. I could not have moved my Mom without Karen, and kept my sanity.

We downsized recently from a 1200 sq. ft. condo to a small 1 bedroom seniors apt. Since the task of downsizing and moving seemed beyond our capabilities, we interviewed several people claiming expertise in assisting seniors to move. We chose Karen on the basis of her experience and the many useful contacts she was able to provide. Karen proved to be a very organized and hard working person. She assisted with the downsizing process and disposal of our surplus goods, packed for and supervised the move, ensuring that we were comfortably settled and assisted with the cleaning. In short, we were very satisfied with her work and we have no hesitation in recommending her strongly.

It did not immediately occur to me that there might be specific help given our situation. From Winnipeg, there had to a way to handle my elderly mother's move within an Edmonton care home. Karen and her team were absolutely fantastic and handled literally everything while keeping mom very happy. We did not know at that time Karen would help us again in the near future.

Months later, mom and ourselves decided she should move from the Edmonton care home to a new care home in Winnipeg to be near us. We all got to work coordinating plan with Move Coordinators. Karen moved mom to an available temporary suite keeping her in familiar surroundings with only what she needed until arriving in Winnipeg while the rest of her belongings were moved. Mom's new suite was to be completely set up in Winnipeg before she arrived. A short timeline to the actual move was an additional challenge to having mom in a temporary suite only as long as necessary.

As I headed to Edmonton so as to accompany mom on the return trip, the unpacking in Winnipeg was already taking place ahead of schedule. By the time we returned to Winnipeg my mother's suite was beautifully arranged & decorated. Even the new piece of furniture we needed was already purchased, unpacked, assembled & placed.

It was just as important that mom was comforted & pleased as we met our timeline. Karen and her teammates managed to make all of those things happen and somehow made it look easy.

Realizing I had limited time to complete all the tasks required between selling my house and moving selected pieces of  furnishings into a new home seemed overwhelming.

Fortunately we contacted Karen and turned everything over to her.  She took over quickly and I was able to watch as things were organized and accomplished in an orderly way.  All her associates, contacts and contractors displayed the same quality commitment as Karen did. That was the experience we enjoyed and appreciated.  Obviously I am comfortable to recommend Karen, and by the way the service is good value at reasonable cost.

I was looking around for a "Senior Mover" specifically someone that specializes in this type of move. I had contacted a couple of places and when I reached Karen it was a whole different ball game. Karen had the confidence I was looking for just from a telephone call plus, this is important, she offered to come over, free of charge and give me a rough estimate. I knew at that point no matter what, I would be hiring Move Coordinators and Karen for this move.

She came in two days before the move and started packing and we were going through the downsizing experience, from 1100 sq. ft. two bedroom down to 450 sq. ft. one bedroom in a seniors independent living apartment. That is no easy task and we didn't have much time, as previous plans had fallen through. Karen is a fantastic person, keeping me calm the whole way. She is a hard worker, a friend in need, wonderful personality and confident, lets not forget compassionate!!

On moving day she was there prior to the movers, whom she used for the move. The moment they showed up is when everything kicked into high gear. I found it hard to sit and watch but I was dealing with an issue that would not allow me to help. Karen and Leanne took control, very professional and I only had to say "storage or not" lol. Leanne works for Move Coordinators, she was also there with just as much professionalism as Karen. We tend to hire people like ourselves when we see how they do and she is a great fit for the business. Even with the off load, if there was no room for the item or box, the movers put it back on the truck for storage. They were eager to please and helped put a few things together, etc.

May I say, the movers were great too. In about 2 to 2.5 hours they were loaded with professionalism, and off we went to the new home. Eager Beaver was the mover and they work great with Karen, you could see it and tell by how they communicated with each other. I would recommend them as a mover for any move, if they are available.

She knows several people in the industry. Also every reference she gave me I have used or will be using. I trusted who she referred to me.

I would DEFINITELY recommend Karen Bodoano of Move Coordinators to move a loved one, or in my case, move me. You can trust they will be in the best hands.

I could go on and on but will end with…The best thing I did was hire Karen of Move Cooridinators and her helper Leanne! You will know what I mean when you hire Karen to move your loved one. She will have them at ease immediately, and very well looked after. Karen takes charge.

Karen and her lovely assistants Brenda and Wendy have been a lifesaver for me over the past five or six months. They have provided me with endless help and encouragement, not to mention packing up a household whose residents - my husband and I - lived in for 45 years. I was pretty sure of most things I wanted to keep, but had I been indecisive, they would have been a great help in deciding what was important and what could be let go of. They recommended antique dealers that could appraise and take my many antiques and the movers Eager Beaver Moving. The movers were fantastic - reasonably priced and prompt, careful, dedicated to detail such as runners placed, furniture wrapped in clean blankets, careful storage in truck, etc..

I was so impressed with the fact that when they finished the unloading, they each approached me, shook my hand and wished me well in my new home.

Karen and her girls were absolutely wonderful. They wrapped and packed my artwork and old family portraits with the utmost care and precision. I'm sure that they must have wondered where on earth I was going to put everything I wanted to take, but never said a word about how crazy I was! I felt badly for Karen as she had badly damaged her ankle in May, but carried on like a trooper with her "boot" and I'm sure she must have been hurting a lot at times, but never complained. This has been a very unusual and difficult move as I am still not where my possessions are, but living in a hotel with others whose condos are not available at present. Karen was so helpful in getting into my condo and retrieving things that I hadn't thought to bring as we were not sure how long we would be here, and we had no access as it was still a construction site.

So she and her assistants were totally wonderful and I can't wait for phase two, the unpacking to begin! You would indeed be in good hands with Karen and her girls. I highly recommend them.
